I agree! I currently have about 150 PS2 games in total, of which about a dozen are American; Around 25 PAL are unsealed, and the rest are sealed, and I still have a huge list of games I want!

Still, nice small collection so far! Not bad for 15 Euro's each, especially Shadow Of The Colossus!

Nice collection, keep it up Very Happy

I'f you are very careful there is a way to remove the stickers on your games, (providing that they are stickers and not security tabs), firstly very carefully pick away at the sticker so that the thick of it has come off and your just left with the residue, (basically a sticky mess), now the clever bit... spray the residue with WD40 and quickly wipe off the sticker residue with ease.

I would not reccommend that you spray the WD40 on the edges of the seal or near the tear strip as
A - You may wipe the seal open
B - The WD40 may weaken the seal and it could open it up
C - Your game may smell like WD40 for a long time Very Happy

Hope this helps at all. :pirat:

Hmm, why doesn't that game have the official playstation 2 tear strip? I think it should?

Ah cmun!...

That must be a original. It has the sticker and everything. It has the same sealing as Shadow of the colossus and MGS3:SB with a thin horizontal line. Do u have one with PS2 silver strip? (u prob do) Well i must say there are no FFXII with silver-strip in northern Europe. Even though i have no official facts for that i am 95% sure of that.

EDIT: Since ive seen a few of theese types of sealing in EBgames in Lund,SWE aswell i must say maybe the games wasnt sealed from the beginning?

If so the distributor of PS2 games in Scandinavia must have sealed them. Still it has a identical sealing to SotC, the tear line is in the exact same place. The only thing i can say is that the game is new. It hasnt been resealed. Since the store (FONA) in DK had 2 more copies. Siba in Lund had also a few copies of the game, all in the same weird sealing. Though they selled it for fullprice.

Dont think i am trying to defend the sealing. Its just that i cant see the game beeing a "fake". Its not a fake. Its officially sealed, but not with the typical PS2 silver-strip. I bet it will be hard to convince a pro collector in the future that this ex is a real.

Anyone know where PS2 games are made? I mean if UK has its own factory and north europe their dito. Many games here in Sweden has swedish,Norweigan,Danish and fanish text on the back.

As i mentioned in another thread KFOM;MAX IMPACT has shrinkrwrap in sweden but cello in UK and both countries has different text, language on the back.

Games with special languages (etc. the above) are sealed by the distributor? or somewhere else than the game with standard text.

Ah ok, if it has the clear tear strip i'm sure it'd be real, It just looks so much like the UK Pal version, i'm sure if you sold this game on ebay.co.uk it wouldn't fetch a price as one of the ones with the strip.
Tell me on the back is it all in english or does it say for scandanavien release only or somthing like that on it? I've just never seen this type of seal on a PS2 FF game and am curious. Very Happy

The back is all in English. Is you sticker on the sealing or under it? Mine is under it. If yours is on top of the sealing mine may very well not been sealed at first.

I just noticed that you have a PAL copy of Metal Gear Solid III: Subsistence sealed. This game is very hard to come by in this condition, as A) Konami aren't renowned for sealing many of their games; And B) Because this game is reasonably hard to come by in the first place, sealed or otherwise.

I only just managed to track down a properly sealed copy myself, after months and months of searching and asking questions on eBay, only to be disappointed every time. All MGS games seem very hard to obtain in sealed condition, with maybe MGS III: Snake Eater being the most commonly available sealed

I can say that my Final Fantasy XII is sealed with the PlayStation 2 writing across the seal.

My Shadow Of The Colossus and MGS 3: Subsistence and MGS 3: Metal Edition don't have the writing, but my MGS 3: Snake Eater (Standard version) does. I would guess that certain games that are of irregular size or shape (Ie, special editions) don't have writing, but I can confirm that FFXII should
