collection with picture(s) Gemini-Phoenix's Sealed Mega Drive Collection

Not a very large collection at all. These were "Impulse" purchases from a seller on eBay. I suspect that these games were originally sold in France, as many French games were blister packed in this way, plus all three games have French writing on the blister packaging, although the games themselves have multi-languages on the back of them

Two of the games are Virgin releases (Spot Goes To Hollywood and Earthworm Jim II), and are also packaged with promotional "Pog's". The third, Revolution X, is an Acclaim title, and is also shrinkwrapped inside the blister opposed to having the blue SEGA sticker on the opening as the other two have.

Revolution X and Earthworm Jim II both have UNPUNCHED hanging tags, which adds to the value of the games.

Revolution X is a bit curious as the blister packaging has the following written on it:

"Les cassettes Nintendo sont exclusivement reservees a la vente et ne peuvent faire l'objet d'une location ou d'un pret public. sauf autorisation contractuelle"

This is interesting as the writing mentions the word "Nintendo", despite the game actually being a Mega Drive game

The part numbers on the spines are as follows:

Spot Goes To Hollywood: T-70326-50
Earthworm Jim II: T-70446-50
Revolution X: T-81566-50

As all three have "-50" suffix's, it is safe to assume that these are all UK releases, as this is the suffix reserved for the UK

Sealed Mega Drive Games (PAL)

  • Earthworm Jim II
  • Revolution X
  • Spot Goes To Hollywood

wow, nice. Yes, I guess the Blister-packaged Mega Drive games were only relesased in France.

Most of the games from France came in Blister...also some SNES-titles (e.g. Zelda and Castlevania IV)
Hardy.....great name, great guy Very Happy

The megadrive suffix (and master system) reserved to the uk is not -50 but -05
-50 is the multi-euro stuff.

Oh right. My mistake then. I shoud've known that from collecting Dreamcast games. That explains the multi-languages on the backs of these games.

There's only a few Uk-only releases for the master system. And a couple more for the megadrive (you can find the list here: http://www.guardiana.net/MDG-Database/Search/Query-A-12-A-A-A-0-A-N-T-0-.html )
