Re: Undead's Rainbow Kirby Collection
Impressive Kirby collection, Undead! It's nice to see someone commit to just one series of games, and one that not many people collect for. I have a Kirby sub-collection too, but it is no way as impressive as yours, and I missed out on a good deal of the very early games as I never owned a NES or a Snes. I am hoping to one day pick up sealed copies of the Snes and earlier GameBoy titles.
I do have the N64 game (Still sealed!), and have both GameBoy Advance games which I love playing. I also have Air Ride (Sealed) and i'm currently searching for the two DS games.
I really loved the first few GameBoy games though! I remember doing time trials on the very first game (Kirby's Dreamland) and managing to complete the whole game in under 15 minutes! I know it doesn't sound very exciting, but it's one of my personal gaming achievements! And I was addicted to Kirby's Pinball so much!
I wonder why Nintendo chose to reinvent Kirby after the first game? In Kirby's Dreamland he is pictured as a quite mean looking puff-ball, and is coloured white, but in subsequent games he has suddenly turned pink and looks much cuter. Later games would then see Kirby develop the ability to ride animals and absorb powers from enemies. The modern Kirby is a far cry from the original character!
The thing that bothers me the most about Kirby is how Nintendo have turned him (Or her???) into a spin-off character, and seem to have abandoned the idea of traditional games. In the same way that Wario seems to be pigeon-holed into spin-off after spin-off, so does Kirby, which is why many Kirby games get overlooked. There are more Kirby spin-off games than there are actual proper games! Many Kirby games just feel like Nintendo have made a template and then added Kirby as an afterthought in order to sell their new idea...

Very cool collection. Didn't know, that I haven't given a comment on this so far. With those pics it's really impressive. The most beatiful is the one for the N64. Hope you or we get some day Kirby's Fun Pak sealed
Re: Undead's Rainbow Kirby Collection
Not even I can keep up with a collection like Undead's. I only have (And probably will always only have) games from post-N64 era. I really wish I could go back and have the earlier GameBoy, NES, and Snes games though. I used to have all the GameBoy ones, but lost them all one day when I lost my bag which had my GameBoy and my entire collection of GB games in it. Back then, Kirby Pinball was my most played game! Kirby's Dreamland was actually my very first GameBoy AND Nintendo game I ever owned, with Super Marioland being the second.
