Nice, i was temped to buy that same console, however, like you say it's $400, a bit much rearlly, i think i'll stick to the software and just import $400 worth of games Very Happy

there are only a few people that'll pay so much more than what they sell it originally. the japanese limited edition consoles are way too expensive to even start collecting. for nostalgia and kicks? i say go for it! but for profit, i'd suggest sticking to sealed game collecting.

if only I could employ your logic...

honestly this was one of those "why not" type deals...I don't plan on making sealed hardware a hobby.

Some do hold their value. Some of the Japanese Dreamcast consoles are quite sought after, and so are the five special Limited Edition PS2's (Red; Blue; Yellow; Silver; White). The White Panzer Dragoon Orta; Lime Green Mountain Dew; Blue Halo 2; And Blue DOA Kasumi Xbox's are still worth a pretty penny as well. Also, there are a few GameBoy Advance SP's that collector's pay good money for. Especially some of those Japanese only ones. Divers Dreamcast anyone? And what about those "Simpsons" and "300" X360's? I'm sure they will be worth a small fortune in years to come

I always wanted to collecct Final Fantasy hardware. The dark blue FF GBA Micro looked very sleek, as do the few WonderSwan Color's. I never really liked that FFXII PStwo though, as it looked just like a normal console. The Crisis Core PSP is very sweet, and I love the attention to detail in teh box design too!

i once was watching an auction for a brand new, still sealed, never used Nintendo Entertainment System. it did go for alot (i think it past $400). but having a sealed system does not really justify any sort of enjoyment to me at all (to me at least, in my opinion).

i dont own very many sealed consoles. in fact i only own 1 which is the famicom LE gb micro (i had 3 of them, i traded 1). i mean right now the value of it does not even come close to how much it was originally. way down the line it will be very profitable (the japanese systems). im trying to get the pokemon center le yellow ds, its high unlikely i will though.

but in the case of the crisis core psp, FF is well known to sell and move systems out of the shelves before. it did when FF7 came out in the U.S. if they do bring this system to the U.S., without a doubt I will buy it.

I think the FF fan group is one of the biggest fan groups. So there are a lot of people who are wachting ebay auctions and so on ... . So I think that is the reason why maybe a limited FF PS2 will ever reach more on ebay for example than any other normal limited PS2 version ... .

I believe you are correct, in my opinion it has the biggest following with the exception of the mario series.
It's also a great series for collectors as there is so many games out to collect on various consoles, some of which are common as muck while others are near impossible to find. The series has a lot of variety for a collector, not only this but the games are good ones to play too Very Happy

great pictures! Love to see all this FF games sealed ...
may you could place the non sealed once on the top of your first post to the end ... I think that would be better because on the end you also show some games which are not sealed...
