Mass Effect poll

Do you like Mass Effect or not?

Mass Effect is one of the greatest games this generation, imo, and before it came to the PC, was one of the only reasons I held onto my third POS 360 (two RRoD and one Disk Read Error for the loss).

The story is second to few. I hope Bioware makes part 2 multi-platform.

Strange but i don't like it a lot. It's counterstrike in a Kotor universe
The story is good. The gameplay... well... I don't like it. The partners are dumb. Shepard is a weakling.
AI is very dumb, yet very destructive.
I don't even like the inventory. Heartless icons with descriptions.. Confusing. The stores.. Look very ugly. You cannot even see the map of the whole area (aka citadel), only the floor where you're in (if i'm correct).. Disorienting.

i have never played it (didnt like the look of it) , but my son (a boy of few words) just said " its arite "

I've never played Kotor or Counterstrike so blah :P

The gameplay can be touch and go. It depends. I played WoW for two years non stop so I'm numb to mindless grinding and infinite side quests (fully completed FFXII and loved every second of it, but I digress) so things like bad AI and repetive combat don't phase me as much, though i don't think it's that broken or boring.

The item system is garbage, I'll admit. Keeping obsolete stuff and ditching newer weapons and armor when you run out of space is a terrible move made on the developers part.

Again though, the presentation, voice acting and especially story keep this one going strong.

Lost Odyssey is also suprisingly good. Beisdes those, GRID, Unreal III and very soon MGS4 I have too much to do.

Oh god, and can't wait for Soul Calibur 4 either...or KOFXII, or BlazeBlue...or Tekken 6...and omg, SFIV...arg...too many...

Hehe, how about the following poll option:

* I'm sure I'll love it (I bought it, didn't I?!) but it's still unplayed because I'm really far behind ;-)

I haven't even *started* FF12 yet :-( so very far behind…

As long as I'm discussing missing poll options, we should add this to all future polls (considering the venue):

(I, however, am keeping a second copy of this particular title Factory Sealed) :-)

BTW is it correct that the collector's edition of PC version does not exist?

Excellent Game, Great story, Good mechanics. It's a fun time.

Not in the US at least. Not sure about you crazy foreign types... :P
