Re: Introduce yourself

Post by SONY on Mon Aug 20, 2007 1:59 pm

Hi, I'm new on these forum boards. I was based in Japan, but now I'm living in Melbourne, Australia.
I'm 29 years of age and I'm a self-confessed SONY Fan-man!
My sealed collection is nothing to boast about, because with the exception of MGS: PO on PSP, it's only SEGA SATURN for now. :flower: Smile

Re: Introduce yourself

Post by Gemini-Phoenix on Mon Aug 20, 2007 2:58 pm

Hi guys! Name's Richie from Ipswich (UK), and I am a self-confessed sealed game collector. I know I have a problem, but there ain't no rehab that can cure my obsession! I was headhunted by SammelHammel on eBay (Well, kinda just stumbled upon me really), but I am a regular at Digital Press and Dreamcast History too. I would also like to think that I have a small cult following online too! Lol!

I am widely known for my sealed PAL Dreamcast collection, and would like to think that I was one of the first to try to attempt to go for the complete sealed set of PAL Dreamcast games (Nice to see some familiar names on these forums whom I have met from either eBay or various other forums). I also collect various collector's editions for most formats, so long as they come sealed. I collect sealed games for almost all formats. Mostly PAL UK versions, but do have a small collection of American and Japanese imports for various systems.

I have a 3/4 complete sealed PAL Dreamcast set (Gotten the majority of the rare's under my belt already), and I am just missing 4 or 5 more games from having a complete N-Gage collection too. I have various sub-collections which I like to collect games for (Final Fantasy; Pokemon; Resident Evil; Zelda etc), and I have a slightly obscure obsession with sealed Konami games too...

I have always bought sealed games (I like them to be "Brand new"), but got to the point where I was buying more than I could possibly play, so I became a collector and it escalated from there. As my tastes widened, I began to seek out more expensive and collectable games, and it would be a sin to open them! I estimate I have over 700-800 unique titles in my collection which are still factory sealed, out of almost 1,000 games owned

Hi I'm youruglyclone, and I've dealt with pascal in the past.

however I found out about this place via kotaku...(ironically I was thinking about contacting pascal and telling him about this place, somewhat of a moot point now.)

I don't really collect sealed games per say...it's more of an unintentional side effect of buying more than you have the time to play, of course there is the occasional "let me buy this and resell on ebay" moments (MGS3 Subsistance LE), otherwise I hope to stick around and learn a bit more about sealed games.

Hi, I'm Yû from Paris.

I love video games and am a die hard fan of the Sakura Taisen series.

Also, I visit the same parisian video game shop than the Adol Brothers. :-P

Thanks to Pascal for pointing me to this topic. ^^

Post by Forgotten_Freshness on Thu Aug 23, 2007 6:05 pm

Hi there. I'm Frank, and I have a very massive game collection (several thousand titles), though very few are sealed. I do collect sealed games, specifically Castlevania and Resident Evil titles.

I'm also interested in sealed copies of games I very much enjoyed (like Dead Rising for Xbox 360, or Ghost in the Shell for PS1).

I am 23 years old, and have a game store located in Stillwater NY, USA. I share the building currently with a gift shop, but am saving to buy out the gift shop and get the whole building to myself by next year. :-)

I will be posting some sealed games in the available section here sometime this weekend as well!

Re: Introduce yourself

Post by KennyB on Sat Oct 06, 2007 4:41 pm

Hello, my name is Kenny. I live in Belgium (so I am a pal collector) and I collect Nintendo cartridge based games (NES ,SNES and N64).
I've only just started collecting sealed games. Currently I have 6 Sealed NES games and 3 sealed N64 games.

This is how it started: I found 2 sealed NES games in "the wild" (he had about 10 games which only where opened at the top to see the contents Evil or Very Mad and 2 still sealed). I bought 3 sealed N64 games in a gameshop in spain (on vacation) and a sealed Shockwave (NES) from Ebay Netherlands.

Some time passed by since then but recently a ebay link was posted on NintendoAge. The auction contained sealed Kirby's adventures (NES) and I bought like 3 copies. They arrived last week and now I'm getting addicted to the "minty-nes" Very Happy of the games.

I've seen a couple of known names (not faces Smile ) like Bronty and SammelHammel (from Ebay). This site seems to be a quality site and I really like the banner so I guess you will see me around from now on Cool
