sflaoaknyc and dvd-movie-galaxy both get a lot of their stuff off of ebay. If sflaoaknyc gets scammed like he did with the DKC from masterobeewan, then he will scam someone else right back with the same ploy.

But dvd-movie-galaxy actually does have cases of NOS games and they are perfect. Im not sure about all the other stuff he buys off ebay tough. He uses big pictures so how did you get rips? badly packaged?

His stuff is just too expensive.

He does describe the faults w/ his games too, he just may or may not show them in a picture. I wouldn't call it a scam, maybe "clever" salesmanship.

DVD-Galaxy on the other hand is terrible. He doesn't even list flaws, takes one pic and uses the same description for every game. Not to mention he ships slow as a mofo. I bought a game, after about a month it came w/ tears and dents and smelled of smoke too. But he gave a partial w/o hassle so at least that's good. AND, the way he gets game is by lurking on eBay 24/7 and snatching up poorly listed sealed games.

He makes sure it's very difficult for an actual collector to get a deal on games.

Agree with striker. DVDmoviegalaxy (aka billsportscardz aka Bill Dixon) is an ok seller but the smoke smell in the games really bothers me. To say "he sells very mint games" is a fallacy - he is a reseller and many of the games he sells are not mint because he buys all kinds of shit on ebay.

yea the picture was big but it was just one picture. The shrink wrap on the side was ripped. And of course you won't be able to detect smoke smell no matter how many pictures.

here we have a "SEALED COMPLETE" chrono trigger.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Chrono-Trigger-Super-Nintendo-SNES-SEALED-COMPLETE_W0QQitemZ150287186122QQihZ005QQcategoryZ139973QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

whoops it's actually USED.

rarebucky you are bordering misrepresentation w/ this one (First you called them "NEW" now you call it "SEALED", @ least your description is still accurate tho I have to say that much, but let's face it the title is misleading)

Just between the forums members, is that shrink wrap really "Chrono Trigger"? or is it from space invaders?

There's nothing misleading about it - the box has the factory seal on it and the game is complete. My pictures show the game opened and I state several times the game is used. Sorry to disappoint you striker Smile

Sealed: is this sealed? does putting an open shrink wrap make a game sealed? Unsealed would be a better description.

Complete: Not really, there's a tonne of propoganda/ads that came w/ that game, all you have are the 2 maps.

Mint: Not really, the manual looks worn.

and I only looked at it for 2 seconds last night.
Let's face it rarebucky, this is what you are hoping for:

some poor shcmuck logs onto eBay, sees the words "Chrono Trigger Sealed Complete", sees a seller with high feedback, sees a picture of what seems to be sealed, sees a low price tag, sees 1 minute left, puts an impulse bid and wins an unsealed chrono trigger.

It's already 100$ which is too expensive. Misrepresenter.

nah, technically there is nothing wrong, he describes fully within the auction what is what. So "technically" he is in the clear.

Is it an underhanded and dirty selling tactic? I would say absolutely, but then again what do I know. In the end he's making the money.

I am also almost 100% concerned that the sealing is from another game. For sure. It has a lof of dust under it. If it was the original one it would never be there.

I would like either of you, DS or striker, to explain how you can remove a factory seal from one SNES game and put it another so that it looks perfect. If you saw this in person you would know that it is indeed the Chrono Trigger factory seal. There isn't an ounce of wear on the box under where the wrap is. Striker, you sound really upset for no good reason. You are not going to bid on it anyway so what does it matter? Anyone who is bidding knows exactly what they are receiving. As for the price, it will go for well over $100. Other CIB copies have gone for way more recently so this one will as well. It doesn't say it is new or factory sealed anywhere on the listing. So again, sorry to disappoint you guys but it's my auction!

I've experimented a lot with my sealed EVO. If seal is opened from one side then you can pull it off and on without any damage. Very Happy
Not to mention i can pull it over any game as well same way.. Very Happy

It doesn't bug me that you listed it this way. It'd be nice if you followed your own super-stringent standards sometimes though.
