Finally i got my sega genesis games from Steve Brinn. Well. Looks like at least 3 of 4 games are resealed. One is a definite reseal. There's a piece of case destroyed and some very torn and used manual can be seen inside.

Sooo, two uninsteresting but semi relevant stories, about two semi terrible games....Zero Divide (Longbox) and Sentient for PS1.

So, a while back, I bought Zero Divide off ebay fof eBay and when I received it, thought it was a complete fake. It had no hangtab, the plastic was different compared to other PS1 Longboxes and it has this really ugly looking seam on the back. Disappointed, I held onto it because it wasn't worth listing if resealed.

Fast forward to recently, where ...

Why do you collect sealed games?

Why do you collect the particular sealed games that you do?

Do you ever play games?

I'm just curious really.

I've read threads where people state 'I've been gaming since X system', but who then proudly (and rightly so) show off sealed games for systems they have by their own admission no historical affiliation with.

I've seen collections that appear to have no rhyme nor ...

Not sure how many people are experts on bubble wrap, but I just read that bubble wrap can leave permanent marks in wood furnature because plasticides ooze off over time and interfere with the finish.

So I began to wonder, what would prolonged storeage do to games? I have stored my games in bubble wrap for years, the oldest of which look as new as the day I bought them, but now I'm thinking I should maybe consider other archival methods.

So I guess this topic is really about, what archiving ...

I see some buyers who throw fits upon finding out a disk is loose inside. My philosophy has always been that an item is factory sealed as long as someone hasn't touched or messed with it. I feel by extension a lose disk is a natural cause, brought on by shipping, time or even the factory that produced ...

Now that grading of games and condition is a strong factor for sealed games, the price gap between the cream of the crop (anything that grades 85 or above), will be noticable when compared to the same game in a lessor condition say 7.5 or lower. For example Chrono Trigger:

9.5 - $2000+

9.0 - $1500+

8.5 - $1200+

8.0 - $1000

7.0 - $750

5.0 - $500 etc.

So the same game in sealed condition could be worth anywhere between $500-$2000+ in respectible condition.

I have a buyer that wants to buy a ton of my games.

This is the message he sent me:

"I might also buy the super mario world.

It is late at night here and I have to go to bed.

I will have a look tomorrow. Do you have any other complete/sealed Nes/Snes games?

I will be opening them to play them but often like to buy sealed as they are usually mint.

I will send payment tomorrow. "

WHYYYY?

I apologize for this thread, it is not a happy one.

I was going through my PAYPAL recently and realized that I had paid $85.00 for an Okami and Magna Carta back in April and never received it. Somehow I never even noticed (what happens when I buy multiples of things in a short period) and now, not only is it too late to contest but the seller is no longer registered. Arg!

It reminds me of the time I paid $200 for 3 RE4 Gamecube Collector Tins and even though the tracking number said ...

Well. I've been browsing ebay for eternity but i've never seen these games sealed:

Crusader of Centy

Pirates Gold

Shining Force 1

Master of Monsters

Warsong

i know rarebucky has SF1. But he got it off ebay. Persuaded some trustful noob to sell it for penny along with SF2 and other rare games...

Also one of ebay sellers told me he had Master of Monsters sealed but he asked 200$ minimum so i ignored. Never saw a picture though.

After almost two decades, Nintendo have finally ditched the classic red Nintendo tear strip!

The latest batch of first-party PAL Nintendo games have a new official tear strip! Instead of the old tear strip with red 'Nintendo' writing on, the new tear strip now sports the Nintendo logo, albeit in black!

Two games I have seen it on so far are Pokemon Ranger: Shadows Of Almia and Wii Music

Which do you prefer?

Ofcoarse it would be very troubling if the game were very rare, expensive etc.but im talking about the cheaper we buy.

So, I'm really looking forward to F3 and want to snag a Survival Edition for PS3, but it looks like Amazon sold out. The thing is, I've been checking for a while and it looks liek they sold out of PS3 long ago. I'm just wondering by chance if anyone saw if they ever had this version for sale, and if so when. I'm hoping people cancel their orders close to release and I can snag one.

Why no security stickers anymore on PS3, Wii, DS etc?

I was at the store the other day and looking at how todays games are sealed. What I noticed is very shocking to me. No more security stickers with the printed names of the games on newer PS2, PS3, Wii and DS even PSP games. Only X-Box games had the security stickers and they look much more professional and collectible as well.
What is the reason for this? Trying to cut costs?
